OK. I still use Unity and Firefox no longer integrates with its menu bar, so I use Waterfox instead. This led me to discover an issue I've not seen discussed, but others may find noteworthy. Waterfox sadly does not have an official .deb but there is an Appimage. I like Appimage, which for me fixes most of the issues of both snap and flatpak. But, and it's a big "but", while the Appimage works fine and self-updates, which is great, it has 2 snags, one big and one small. Small: no app icon in the Unity dock. Big: you can't set it as the default browser because the OS doesn't "know" it is there. It's not in the system app database. #2 is a deal-breaker for me. I don't know if this affects you. -- Liam Proven ~ Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: [email protected] ~ gMail/gTalk/FB: [email protected] Twitter/LinkedIn: lproven ~ Skype: liamproven IoM: (+44) 7624 227612: UK: (+44) 7939-087884 Czech [+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal]: (+420) 702-829-053 -- xubuntu-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/xubuntu-users
