Hi, Jon Lipsky wrote up a blog story to announce XMLFace 1.0 Beta 1.
Jon writes: Last friday, we (XEsoft) [a German startup] released the first public beta of our new product XMLFace. XMLFace is a toolkit to rapidly create java based GUI applications for Swing and/or SWT using forms and panels described in XML. One of the unique features of the toolkit is that you can run the same application with Swing or SWT without making any modifications to your application. While not all of the features have been described yet in the available documentation and tutorials, there is enough available to give an overview of how to build a simple application with the toolkit. I will be working in the next few weeks to provide more documentation and tutorials about how to use toolkit to quickly build applications. The toolkit is marked as a beta release more or less because the documentation is still under development and because we may add support for more controls before the final 1.0 release. However, the toolkit has been in use for almost a year "in-house" for internal and external projects, so we know that it stable and usable. Note: XMLFace is free for private non-commercial usage and/or for usage in open-source projects.
