  Nigel McFarlane writes in that you can sample free
book chapters from the 700+ page Mozilla XUL thriller
titled "Rapid Application Development with Mozilla".

  At the DevX site you can download Chapter 7: "Forms
and Menus" as a PDF booklet (~550k, 26 pages). Chapter
7: "Forms and Menus" discusses where to find
information on menus, forms and menu style options,
compares XUL and HTML forms provides a hands-on
section on NoteTaker events and forms, and more.     
   
  At the Webrefence site you can browse Chapter 8:
"Navigation" in plain-old HTML.
