Hello,

  Nigel McFarlane - author of the 700+ pages XUL book
titled "Rapid Application Development with Mozilla"
has launched his own website that includes many
Mozilla XUL articles and goodies.

  On the page titled "Mozilla Artefacts: Things for
Mozilla People" Nigel writes:

  For impatient people, here are all the things
Mozilla that I've produced that are publically
available.

      ...

    Mozilla Web pages can do more than Internet
Explorer pages.

    * Intermixing of XHTML, SVG and MathML standards
for the purposes of word games. See Page 4.
    * Why Stick to Dynamic HTML? Dynamic SVG is the
starting point for a palette of operations required
for a number of diagramming tools used in software
engineering
    * Use of XUL as an applet technology. Why hasn't
this been done before?
    * Use of XUL as a better solution for DHTML
Hierarchical Menus (in press). DHTML menus may be
evil, but they can be a lot easier to implement with
XUL than with (X)HTML.

    There are probably lots more; my garage is stuffed
with odds and ends that I've lost, alas.

    On the page titled "Book Support: Rapid
Application Development With Mozilla" Nigel writes:

    This is the author support site for the "Rapid
Application Development with Mozilla" tutorial and
reference book.

    * Download items described in the book.
    * Read Errata (find known mistakes and
clarifications).
    * Provide public feedback here.
    * Provide private feedback here.
    * Prentice Hall's support page.
    * A sample of reviews are at the Amazon.com page
for this book (or buy it this way).
    * To experiment with the xpcshell tool, Linux/UNIX
is an easier platform for experimentation. In that
case, make sure your Mozilla download from mozilla.org
is bundled in .tar.gz format, and look in the
resulting install directory for the xpcshell
executable.
