Hello, Thanks to everybody for casting your vote to shed a light on the ongoing XML UI Language (XUL) naming debate.

Yes. - 73 votes (58%) No. - 36 votes (29%) Don't care. Whatever. - 8 votes (6%) Don't know. I'm not a Lawyer. IMNAL (TM). - 8 votes (6%) 125 votes total Q: Do you want to shutdown the XUL Alliance and the XUL News Wire? Yes. - 28 votes (29%) No. - 45 votes (46%) Don't care. Whatever. - 24 votes (25%) 97 votes total (Source: Full story @ http://xul.sourceforge.net/post/2004/01/poll_results_is_xml_ui_language_trademarkable.html ) I invite you to analyze and discuss the poll results, here on xul-talk. To get started you might wonna read the comments posted on the Richmond Post news blog first online @ http://xul.sourceforge.net/post/2004/01/poll_is_xml_ui_language_trademarkable.html If I may quote Mathew McBride's single voice of reason in a sea of insanity: My stance is that as long as the first letter in whatever-gui-markup-language-mozilla-uses stands for XML, it should be declared a _generic_ term. I think Mozilla should put an 'M' for Mozilla to make it _Mozilla_ XML User Interface Language. Clearly, the Mozilla die-hards and lawyers forgot that XML is all about vendor independence. How can a single vendor claim XML UI Language for itself?
