Many thanks, Tom. There is still an open issues:
We decided to "donate" Lexus to the XML:DB Initiative, so the development
of a reference implementation will be forced under the XML:DB umbrella.
For that we need to move the current Lexus CVS over to the XML:DB CVS,
what I doesn't finished yet. :-/
I hope this will give XUpdate / Lexus a "much wider audience", to speak
with Gordon Jones' words.

I hope that we can move on very soon. I heard that X-Hive will use
XUpdate for versioning. X-Hive would be the first commercial product
implementing / using an XML:DB specifcation!
