The 177.82 package in the b107 ISO does not install this link:
-bash-3.2$ pwd /export/space/install/nvx_107/Solaris_11/Product/NVDAgraphics -bash-3.2$ grep libwfb pkgmap -bash-3.2$ >> What does "pkgchk SUNWxorg-server" report? >> > that returns nothing. > > pkgchk -l SUNWxorg-server says > Pathname: /usr/X11/lib/modules/amd64/libwfb.so > Type: symbolic link > Source of link: ../NVIDIA/amd64/libnvidia-wfb.so > Referenced by the following packages: > SUNWxorg-serverNVDAgraphics > Current status: installed > > with 180.27 installed. > This replaced the link, so it should still exist. So I'm puzzled why you would get the message: (EE) NVIDIA(0): Need libwfb but wfbScreenInit not found > so basically the lib provided by the downloadable version of the driver is > broken on sxce after build 106? > It shouldn't be. I tested b107 both ways, with the X.Org libwfb and with NVIDIA's. Both worked as long as the paths/links were valid. I just verified this again with NVIDIA's 180.27 libnvidia-wfb.so on b107.
