That *may* cause it.  The 177.82 package in the b107 ISO does not install
this link:

  -bash-3.2$ pwd

This replaced the link, so it should still exist.  So I'm puzzled why
you would get the message:

  (EE) NVIDIA(0): Need libwfb but wfbScreenInit not found

It shouldn't be.  I tested b107 both ways, with the X.Org libwfb and
with NVIDIA's.  Both worked as long as the paths/links were valid.
I just verified this again with NVIDIA's 180.27 libnvidia-wfb.so on b107.
