The Intel 2.4.x driver works at higher display resolutions beyond 1024x768. There may be remaining bugs with Sun's Xserver 1.3.0/Intel driver interaction when it comes to certain motherboard/monitors setups.
I get 1280x1024 and 1152x864 display resolutions using an Intel 82845G/GL IGP with Intel driver 2.4.0 - that comes with OS2008.11-b98. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
