Yes, he sent me some test binaries, unfortunately those really messed things up. I had to revert to the original b86 files. I hope that build 93+ will make things better. > EXA as default since intel_driver 2.2.0. b84 should still use intel > driver 2.1.1, so XAA enabled by default. > Please check the /var/log/Xorg.0.log, "Using XXX for acceleration". Here on build 86, it used EXA. > I think the performance and other 3D issues will be fixed after the > mesa upgrading. We once plan to upgrade to 7.4/1.5, but the 7.4/1.5 > release date is slipping. I am now running it with XAA and there is no noticeable lag with Firefox and the like anymore. Ran two movies via mplayer, firefox open with a zillion tabs, and some other programmes, works fine. The libGL warnings are still persisting of course, but I figure with Niveditha's work this will hopefully soon be a thing of the past. Ooh, sorry I think I replied to both Ken and Kan Liang without properly quoting them. My apologies. I take it both of them know who wrote what to me. ;-) Many thanks, Hakim -- S.
