I gave mdb a try, and didn't get more information. It locked up my system, and I had to power cycle it. What I did: enabled radeonhd in xorg.conf mdb /usr/X11/bin/Xorg :c f(ollow) The last thing it printed was Using config file /etc/X11/xorg.conf ==Leonard E.
