Mainly http://cvsweb.xfree86.org/cvsweb/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/bus/sparcPci.c.diff?r1=1.31&r2=1.32 ... to be precise. I saw that and merged the interesting parts of the changes into my private NONfox-gate workspace one day after submission to xf86's CVS. It is an impressive back-port. But as I don't have a corresponding test box (with the http://www.sun.com/processors/manuals/Fire_Reference_Manual.pdf bridge), I cannot test the resulting binaries. Furthermore it cannot be added to the official FOX gate because of XFree86's post-2004 license. However, interested individuals (such as yourself) may integrate it by themselves locally. Therefore thanks for reporting, on behalf of those. I myself didn't report that, as I no longer continue to support unpaid FOSS (without a paid primary job as financial survival backer). That's also the reason, why I don't attend the "OpenSolaris" a.k.a "Indiana" summit. In 5 minutes I will finally unsubscribe from the remaining noisy opensolaris lists, including xwin-discuss. p.s. The SPARC-gfx group hardly ever interacted with the "community". I see no reason to pump money, time and work into their closed exclusive direction. It would have been nice, if they had been just one tenth as open, as the X11-group has proven to be (credits to X11-group's leading developers Alan Coopersmith, Stuart Kreitman). My Indiana_DP2__SPARC prototype was half-way finished by early March, but nobody of the JAVA folks wanted to give me a Cent for it (or a job!!!). That way JAVA can spend their own money (much more than I would have taken!) and re-invent the wheel by themselves. If circumstances ever change, I can send you a copy of it, exactly as I can send you the conary patches and bins. OTHERWISE: I will continue to feel alienated. bye %martin This message posted from opensolaris.org
