Yep, very strange. I did not face this earlier. But this time the twist was that I did not have the Nevada X11 packages installed on the build machine. Instead I had the earlier FOX packages. I am not sure whether that causes any change. I can send you the xscreensaver config.log if you wish to take a look. Regards, Moinak.
