I did a liveupgrade from developer release b55b to community release 64a. When I boot into b64a environment, the Xserver cannot be started on display :0. /var/dt/Xerrors does not appear to have much of interest. /var/log/Xorg.log ends with the following error:
No core keyboard Fatal server error: failed to initialize core devices This is a Sun type 6 keyboard that is actually working just fine in non-graphical login. Another non-Sun keyboard works fine as well. I have tried init 6 several times and get the same error, regardless of which keyboard is connected. If I run /usr/bin/nvidia-xconfig I get a segmentation fault and a core dump, while nvidia-SunOS-bug-report.sh works fine. This is on a stock Ultra 20 with the Nvidia 280 QVS video card. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks, This message posted from opensolaris.org
