Okay Alan, thanks for your mails and the verbose comments. Let us do that, I started to take http://dlc.sun.com/osol/x/downloads/current/X-src-20070227.tar.bz2 as base. This has another advantage: The most recent binary SXCR release I - as an outsider - can get hold of, is snv60, just exactly the build which you used back then. See you later, cheers, Martin p.s.
