If you run into issues using large models or JDS/GNOME when using the CATIA V5R17 on SPARC workstations (i.e. Sun 2500 or Ultra 40) then make sure you have the latest Xorg and OpenGL patches drivers for your card.
I am hoping to see more support for OpenGL 2.1 on the SPARC workstations and newer apps like Pro/E and CATIA V5R17. Some of the newer ways of doing textures and shading would benefit the Solaris community if we had full OpenGL 2.1 support on Solaris with the current OpenGL Shading Language 1.20.8.
