Thanks.  I will get an X550 card.  This appears to be the "highest 
level/number" Radeon chipset without the need for a fan (& is very reasonably 
priced).

I am building an AM2/ATI based Solaris machine (First time ever use a desktop 
ATI card--always nVidia).  Any suggestion will be appreciated.  Comparing SX 22 
to 44 (anything  b/y 44 is a little bit experimental at the present), the 
progress of Solaris is truly b/y belief.  It's time for the world to wake and 
smell the coffee!
