In the bug database there is an old bug, "Bug ID: 4621684",
"Synopsis: Titles of all StarOffice Dialogs have an unreadable since Solaris
s9_53"

    http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4621684

It seems this bug has re-appeared with snv_50, for the de_DE.ISO8859-1 locale
(or en_US.ISO8859-1). The problem didn't exist with snv_40.
StarOffice is using XmbTextListToTextProperty(), passes in a
string like "StarOffice 7 " and the resulting text property uses the
same characters from the string "StarOffice 7 " but every byte has
bit #7 set, so the result is '?' '?' '?' '?' '?' '?' '?' '?' '?' '?' ' ' '?' '
'

I can reproduce it by running Staroffice like this:

    env LC_ALL=en_US.ISO8859-1 /usr/staroffice7/program/soffice.bin
    env LC_ALL=de_DE.ISO8859-1 /usr/staroffice7/program/soffice.bin

(See the attached screendump of the staroffice window, note the
unreadable text at the top of the window)

The problem doesn't occur in an ISO8859-15 locale.

Anyone else noticed a problem like this?
