The first consumer planned is an update to the X Input Extension in a future
Xorg release - unfortunately, that wasn't ready in time and slipped out of
Xorg 1.6, so Xorg 1.6 has the infrastructure for negotiating the new event
format with clients, but won't actually be sending any XGE format events yet.
