I was thinking if it is possible to integrate Mac OS X-like look to the upper panel? From my perspective, it'll zip space on the screen. Also, it'll be very nice to add more shades to the panels like it done in 2009.06. It's very nice effect.
When I adjust same pixel/inch resolution (usually 96) on Win XP and on OS, same OpenType font doesn't look same on the display. I have feeling that Win XP display cleaner (better) fonts. Could it be changed? Regards, Uros Nedic P.S: Sorry we haven't met on C1 West. I have searched for you. -----Original Message----- From: xwin-discuss-boun...@opensolaris.org [mailto:xwin-discuss-bounces at opensolaris.org] On Behalf Of Alan Coopersmith Sent: June 11, 2009 5:43 AM To: OpenSolaris X Window System List Subject: [xwin-discuss] X plans for 2010.02 Since I had to make a list for our internal product planning today, and there's nothing secret in it, I figured I'd share it here. This is what we're planning on working on over the next 6 months and hope to get into the 2010.02 release, but as always, nothing's firm until it's finished, and this is just a high level list, doesn't include all the implementation details like specific device drivers or library versions. -------- Original Message -------- For X, our user-visible plans for 2010.02 currently include: - Xorg server updates (already updated from 1.5 to 1.6 in nv_116, community 1.7 release tentatively scheduled for August/Sept., will try to include in 2010.02 if it doesn't slip too far).
