Below is the description of CR 6830286: Touchscreen (Fujitsu Touch Panel HID)
not calibrated correctly
-----
Using a Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 with a touchscreen (Fujitsu Touch Panel HID)
seems to be functional under OpenSolaris 2008.11, however it is not calibrated
correctly. Upon touching the screen, the mouse pointer appears about an inch
(2.5cm) away from where it should be. It makes it virtually impossible to use
with any type of user interface.
-----
Engineers have been a great help in understanding this problem. Unfortunately
it appears that the only available calibration programs for Solaris/OpenSolaris
are proprietary.

In looking around to see if anything has been done in the linux space, the
following page, http://ariescomputing.com/lifebook/, makes reference to hand
modifying one of the XF86Config files with raw numbers.

Would there be an Xorg/OpenSolaris alternative to this method?

Thanks,
