p.s. I have pci.ids as predefined by libpciaccess in "/pci.ids". As this was tested on a Blade 2000 the pci nexus was hardwired in libpciaccess to "/devices/pci at 8,700000:reg". To open it libpciaccess's bundled scanpci util or the server (or whatever else using libpciaccess) must be run with root-alike permissions.
libpciaccess (at least the solaris parts) seem to be pretty unchanged since I last had a look in February. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
