This has been going on for a long time but I can't find the thread to revive
it. Currently at snv_101 but this has been happening since at least February.

Occasionally the desktop becomes unresponsive to keyboard or mouse. It seems as
if this happens mostly when Firefox is running (remember, this has been
happening for a long time, thru various Nevada and Firefox builds). It happened
this morning. I was downloading SNV_102 with SDM, I had an xterm running and
Firefox. I clicked on SDM to see the progress but the focus did not change from
Firefox. The only fix is to type Alt-Ctrl-Bksp to restart X. But in this case,
2/3 of the way thru the download, I didn't want to do this.

I switched over to my Solaris 10 machine and ssh to the OpenSolaris box (sshd
works). I pkill firefox and switched back to OpenSolaris machine (kvm). Firefox
was gone and the focus was on xterm. Clicked on SDM but no joy. I am able to
run command in xterm. CAre must be taken not to run an app that covers up xterm
as then you can type, but are unable to see results. Xterm has the focus but
the other app covers it. Go figure. As soon as the download completes, I will
restart X, until the next time.

In reading the old thread, there are quite o few others with this problem. It
has now started to manifest itself in my Solaris 10 U6 machine. It looks like
an inheritance from snv.

Help please.
