EXA as default since intel_driver 2.2.0. b84 should still use intel
driver 2.1.1, so XAA enabled by default. 
Please check the /var/log/Xorg.0.log, "Using XXX  for acceleration".

I think the performance and other 3D issues will be fixed after the mesa
upgrading. We once plan to upgrade to 7.4/1.5, but the 7.4/1.5 release
date is slipping. For the short term we would look to
make Mesa 7.0.2 working with Xorg 1.3. Once we finished, will let the
community know soon.
