FYI, I tried loopback mounting snv_81 versions of /usr/openwin, /usr/X11, and /usr/dt over the top of their snv_90 equivalents, and killing the X server.
The problem was still there, which suggests to me that the difference causing the problem is elsewhere, whether in something else Xsun links to, or in the gfb driver, or where? This message posted from opensolaris.org
