That is what I expected, which is why I made note of it. If Sun offers the card for sale then it can incude the necessary Fcode and hopefully work in any PCI SPARC system, starting with the Ultra-30. Not everyone wants to replace hardware in their old computer, but this provides opportunities for those who want to run open source OpenSolaris on it and be restricted to binaries from Sun.
