It seems Napoleon Hill's philosophy (that had even been adopted by Mahatma Ghandi) of "going the extra mile" does not pay out any longer. Now, that the USD is at 1.42 versus the EUR, now that Ford, GM and Crysler are tubling, now that Sun is shipping not only LinUX, but also Windows, now that [you name it]. Very unfortunate developments.
