Greetings, I compiled the blackbox WM from source and have it installed in /usr/local/bin/blackbox . I followed a guide here --> http://www.gunfleet.com/solaris/winman.htm ; and all i did was copy/paste the blackbox files and named them correctly as is.. the only thing i changed was the path from /opt/csw/bin/blackbox to /usr/local/bin/blackbox
Now, in my dtlogin session, it acutally does show blackbox listed, and when i login to it, it login's into nothing but a controlling console/terminal with a black screen ( I can tell its an X session, but there is nothing there I run blackbox from this console and it works FLAWLESSLY.. so my question is.. why is it not automatically starting blackbox? I have verified the permissions on the Xinitrc files both in my $HOME and /usr/dt/config and they are 755. Also , I thought I would be clever and try to capture some output to a log.. and i go to check my log and.. there isn't even one created.. so thast telling me its not even reading the Xinitrc.blackbox OR the $HOME/.xinitrc file Im at a loss at this, any idears?
