Ok I've done a tcpdump on the ultra 45 (su45) and it doesn't like udp packets on port 177:
17:18:23.203653 IP shfloatca4.3765 > su45.177: UDP, length: 7 17:18:23.203717 IP su45 > shfloatca4: icmp 43: su45 udp port 177 unreachable I've no ip filters setup. What should be listening on port 177? I've tried a login from another sun box, from its login screen and it pops back "Remote host could not be accessed, host name is valid, but remote host may not be running dtlogin (or other X display manager)" Any hot tips? However if I do a ps on the ultra 45 this doesn't appear to be the case: root at su45 # ps -ef | grep dtlogin root 631 1 0 Feb 27 ? 0:00 /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin -daemon -udpPort 0 root 28667 631 0 17:15:38 ? 0:00 /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin -daemon -udpPort 0 This message posted from opensolaris.org
