[xwin-discuss] Laptop/External VGA Issue

A while ago, I remember reading posts that after build 70+ or so, we will be 
able to connect the  external VGA port of a laptop to a monitor or projector on 
the fly, without the need to modify the xorg.conf file.  Is this true now?
