I've upgraded a sparc box from snv_48 to snv_60. In my JDS environment I happen to have "Subpixel smoothing (LCDs)" enabled. This displays OK on snv60/x86, but has totally unreadable fonts on snv60/sparc (see the attached screen dump).
Selecting JDS font preferences => Font Rendering => "Monochrome" or "Best shapes" or "Best contrast" gives me usable fonts on snv60/sparc. A new bug?
