I have Lenovo T60 with Core 2 Duo with ATI X1400 and 14" SXVGA+ 1400x1050. The
only xorg driver that works with the model, I found, was vesa. Once in X,
everything looks good, but when I escape to the non-graphical console, the
fonts grow to be huge. And they are going outside the boundary of the screen.
I know that it's the xorg driver that's messing up the font because during
boot, the fonts are just fine and they grow once X starts. Does anyone know
how to fix this?

FYI, the graphics on Linux works very well using the ATI binary distribution
"fglrx" driver. I think I had a similar problem with vesa when I was running
Ubuntu Dapper Drake before I switched to fglrx.
