I went back and verified the install of the new Nvidia drivers:

Then I did a "reboot -- -r" and when it booted it still fails to start X, so

It is still saying No Devices detected. I've attached the xorg.conf file. Is
there a way to verify that the nvidia driver is being found, and that it's
working? What can I do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appriciated.
