I don't know exactly, assuming that i simply used the pakaged version. In all cases, launching totem in a terminal i don't saw any complain ; after that i saw an entire film (2 hours, fullscreen) and not encourred any CPU excessive charge. Only the video card worked as normal, not a lot as with for example a simulator. And, of course, Totem never freezed. And, as i posted immediately after this experience, it was finally only a question of some minutes, that means that the Nvidia card performed all good, better as the card i used before (without proprietary driver). Last but last, your idea is good and, if i again discover this kind of mistake, i'll learn the exact built of Totem. Cheers, Sergio This message posted from opensolaris.org
