Xorg in nv_52 is still Xorg 6.9, which only knows about Intel chipsets up
through i915. You could build Xorg 7.1 or one of the current Xorg 7.2
Release Candidates to get partial i945 support (you'ld need to update the
agpgart driver in the kernel as well, and if you want hardware acceleration,
the DRM driver in the kernel too). We've run 7.2RC1 on an i945 machine in
our lab, and it works without the kernel updates as long as it's connected to
a monitor with a small enough resolution to fit in the default amount of video
memory allocated by the BIOS - you need agpgart on Intel chipsets to let the
video driver "steal" more of system RAM to use as virtual VRAM.
