A partial fix went in 27a, but the complete fix didn't make it until 28.

That's about it.

You should be able to - I certainly have, and made 6.9RC2 versions of the
Xorg packages available to Sun internal users. (People outside Sun will
have to wait for nv28 to be released, since they'll probably be integrated
into that build, unless QA found any showstopper bugs I haven't heard about
yet.)
