I recently noticed something weird in the last few builds. When my session screen locks after it has been idle and I enter my password to unlock it, the little dots that appear for each letter I type take a very long time to appear. For my 8 letter password, it take up to 10 seconds for the dots to appears and for the screen to unlock.
I thought at first that this might be intentional, to prevent password guessing, but after a little thought I realized that was unlikely. It is very strange to finish typing and then have to wait for so long for the system to catch up. Once the screen is unlocked, there is no noticeable issues. And it isn't something about getting things moving after the system has been idle, because if I get the wrong password and have to type it again, it is still slow.
