Has anything changed between sxce snv124 and sxce snv125 as
far as xdmcp goes?
I have a host running OSol b125 and I can xdmcp from a Fedora
client with no problem.
Another host that was running sxce snv124 - again no problem,
ruling out firewall or other Fedora client issues.
But running snv125 on the same host, xdmcp from the same client fails.
It would appear that
# svccfg -s svc:/application/x11/x11-server setprop options/tcp_listen=true
# svcadm restartapplication/graphical-login/cde-login:default
is being ignored, or at least the symptoms are:
# ps -eaf | grep dtlogin
.... /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin -daemon -udpPort 0
# snoop host10
host10 -> host6 UDP D=177 S=55385 LEN=15
host6 -> host10 ICMP Destination unreachable (UDP port 177
unreachable)
Am I missing something sorely obvious? xdmcp will be the only
way to run graphical applications on these sun4u hosts until when
and if support for afb/ffbs becomes available and where sxce goes
often Osol follows; enabling gdm vs. dtlogin seemed to make no
difference, even with filling in the suspect fields in custom.conf
and svcadm restart...
