This is great news! I was reviewing the SASL related code in the sasl branch of your github repo. and then I noticed that you have another branch for auth that has more recent commits. So, my question is: which branch do you plan to merge to master? I was looking at working on this myself a bit, and it appears you have done some significant work towards this.
