Umgh, that is definitely broken (mea culpa). I just made a commit that will properly avoid building files that need python if it is not found. I hope it will work, some more systematic solution will be needed, though. I commited 1162 which should fix all this. Get bakc if it doesn't. Alternatively, you can exclude 'extra' by saying scons exclude=extra.
