Yes, it makes spheres wider. It has nothing to do with cohesivity though; constitutive law governs that. Interaction geoemtry functors (like ef2_Sphere_Sphere_Dem3Dof) only create interaction geometry (and thus bring the interaction in real existence), but never delete it.
