I have no compile error here (and a standard cgal version).
I think you have a combination of flags that doesn't compile, I'll try
and fix that.
Actually, it is not the only problem with flags. Emanuele still has
problems without monolithic build for instance.

would like to support versions that are packaged in "current" systems
(debian stable and supported ubuntu releases, I mean), or indicate that
