I disagree with the premise that the only important point is to avoid
scale effects. I like quantities to have physical meaning, as much as it
is meaningful with discrete models;
Ok, in that case, forget Hentz and FrictPhys. Go for non-linear Hertz
Mindlin, with real E,nu of silicates. Assigning micro variable based on
desired macro values is a joke with such rational perspective.
