Ah, you're right, that's not related.

Anyway. Since they are variables in 2 different classes, there is no
way to make them consistently the same. Unless someone goes nuts and
invent hacks like functor going find the engine etc, which I would
oppose. (Fortunately users have some intelligence on their own :-) )
