Hi (Bruno?), have you ever tried to run an extension triaxial test using the periodic boundary? I have tried but I do not know why I record instabilities while using the same type of material and sample that I test during the shear phase of a typical compression triaxial test. To run the extension test I just set stressMask=4 which (should) correspond to a stress control in the vertical direction while in the horizontal direction strain control is required. Of course I set the goal stress according to this assumption. Am I doing something wrong?
