It's wrapped for a very long time, that's right. It is functional for at least
one year but was lacking doc and example (the recent commit only dealt with
that).
If it doesn't seem to work in 0.70, it maybe because it's just not compiled.
In fact it's just non-sense to copy the hpp/cpp files between the different
versions. The first reason is that the files were already present in version
0.70, no need to add them. The second reason is that mixing files from
different versions is no supposed to work and will give compile errors in most
cases (due to e.g. changed variable names).
More generaly, if you need recent feature use recent code.
You should probably use latest version from git if you want the opportunity to
modify sources on your side and still receive updates.
