Status: Open => Answered Klaus Thoeni proposed the following answer: Hi Alex the friction angle is defined with the material and usually set in the Ip2 functors where the minimum of the material of the two particles in contact is used. However, some Ip2 functors (e.g. Ip2_FrictMat_FrictMat_FrictPhys [1]) support MatchMakers as well, try something like this: ... Ip2_FrictMat_FrictMat_FrictPhys(frictAngle=MatchMaker(matches=((steelId,shotsId,phi1), (shotsId,shotsId,phi2)))) ... Please note the different in name: frictAngle instead of frictionAngle.
