Question #235004 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/235004

Bruno Chareyre proposed the following answer:
The material properties cannot be documented in details, since it is the
physics functor that gives them a meaning at the contact level. We have
examples of the same parameter being used differently in different
contact laws.

DEM background is not for the details of contact models. The place where
something is missing is here:
https://www.yade-dem.org/doc/yade.wrapper.html#yade.wrapper.Ip2_CohFrictMat_CohFrictMat_CohFrictPhys

It should tell you that adhesion = cohesion*area, where adhesion is the
contact parameter and cohesion is the material parameter. The rest is
explained in the contac law's documentation I think (as pointed by
Jerome).
