Klaus Thoeni proposed the following answer: I am just guessing but do you have libqglviewer-qt4-dev package installed? On the installation page it says: If you have Ubuntu 12.10 or older, you need to install libqglviewer- qt4-dev package instead of libqglviewer-dev.
