Sorry, I misinterpreted you code.
Please really try to make Yade standalone MWE (Minimal Working example, [1]),
otherwise it is just guessing.
For example, if you change b.material.young, it has no effect on existing
interactions. So if you change it during simulation, it is likely that you get
the same stress..
