Thank you for the reply. For clarification, I am trying to use the
PeriTriaxController with a cloud of clumps. The second case.
I have followed your suggestion of using makeclumpcloud in the same simulation.
I dont see a difference however. Some particles are added at the periodic
boundaries in the first timestep but none of the clumps are compressed.
I use
O.periodic=True
O.cell.setBox(1e-6,1e-6,1e-6) #size of makeclumpcloud volume
Can it be a problem with the settings for the PeriTriaxController, is
there an example case where it is used with clumps? Is there another
periodic controller which I should use instead?

On another note:
If possible I would like to import the geometry to be compressed, that will
allow me to always import the same geometry. If I generate it in this file even
if I set the random seed I find I end up with a different packing...
